Study Of International Strategy Of Gansu Electric Power Corporation

As one of the state-owned subsidiaries of State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), Gansu Electric Power Corporation (GSEPC) undertakes the management, construction and operation of the main power grid in Gansu province. It plays important roles in insuring economy development and people's livelihood improvement of Gansu province and undertakes great responsibilities for optimizing configuration of provincial resources. Along with separation of power plant and grid, and presentation of international strategy of SGCC, GSEPC gradually knows that international cooperation is the only way to help it have a good future.It's not so easy to step on the way of internationalization. To meet the requirements of globalization and national domestic environment, GSEPC must analyze and set down international strategy to guide the implement of internationalization.By means of several strategy analyzing tools, this paper deeply analyzed international environment and current situation of GSEPC to find out the way for solving all the key problems. There were 5 external factors including national macro-political background, SGCC political background, international competition environment, domestic electric industrial environment and culture discrepancy; 3 internal factors including internal resources, internationalization status and ability and corporation culture. After analyzing above factors, it summarized internationalization ability of GSEPC by using External and Internal Factor Evaluation Matrix. Then, by using tool of SWOT(strengths-weaknesses-opportunities-threats)Matrix, this paper helped constitute international strategy and its stage target and processes. Finally, this paper painted internationalization schedule and submitted controlling measures for its establishment.This paper provided a profound reference method for internationalization of GSEPC.
