At the present moment, much research into organizational citizenship behavior has been conducted within the western context. As widely known, there are significant cultural differences between the Chinese and western cultures. Therefore, it is less convincing to apply western theories within the Chinese national and cultural contexts. It is more meaningful to conduct empirical research in the latter context.This empirical study was to examine performance evaluation system, its impact on organizational citizenship behavior within the Chinese context.Through the use of SPSS 13.0 and data analysis, various performance evaluation systems were analysed in particular, the differences in performance evaluation systems associated with organizational citizenship behavior, knowledge worker versus non knowledge workers, etc.The findings of this study may be effectively used in the future to provide practical understandings and guidance in a number of aspects.
