Energy, environment and economy are never isolated; instead, they are always closely connected with our production and daily life, among which there has always been a mutual influence and development. However, this coordinated relationship is often ignored, causing energy shortages and environmental damages. Till the beginning of this century, several countries in the world, under the enormous pressure on economy increment, have been threatened by the excessive exploitation and consumption of energy and severe environmental problems. At present, economy development, energy consumption and environmental conservation, which are mutually related and contradictory, have already constituted a ternary-system. How to make them develop equally is a problem which every government and academe pay attention to, that can keep economy develop fast, save energy and protect environment. Meanwhile, China is facing a problem of reducing energy consumption and improving environmental quality as well as meeting the increasing demand on energy to keep the high increase rate of economy.Nowadays, Chinese Government makes twin goals of meeting the demand on energy for economy development and people's lives; at the same time, improving the energy efficiency and reducing energy-caused environmental pollution. This thesis, under such a background, aims to make a correlative research by applying the theory and practice of 3E complex system coordinated development as reference.The thesis, based on the research on the theory of energy-environment-economy coordinated development, analyses the influence of economic unbalance in our country on energy and environment and the related and restricted relationship among 3E; researches and discusses the leading models and methods of energy-environment; introduces the meaning of Environment Kuzents Curve(EKC), and on this basis, discusses the relationship between the EKC, the economy and energy in our country; probes into the present status and tendency of energy, environment and economy both at home and abroad. At last, this thesis makes an empirical study with DEA model applied to 30 provinces in China, calculates relative efficiency of energy and environment in our country and concludes the DEA validity of the data of 30 provinces.
