China's Imports Security Of Bulk Strategic Materials Based On Supply Chain Risk

As non-renewable important strategic meterials, Most of bulk goods are in relation not only to the country's economic security, but also to the political and military security, as well as social stability.So we should consider their security from the perspective of national strategies, especially the representative of the oil and iron ore.Since 1993, our country has become a net importer of oil, and in 2003, China began to be the first major importer of iron ore in the world, the two most important strategic meterials now dependend on imports seriously, and in a short period can not be changed. Although the other bulk goods' imports dependence is relatively lower, Judging from the global supply and demand pattern, the situation is very grim.We have to guarantee the stability of imports in order to guarantee the supply of bulk strategic meterials.However,there are so many risk factors which influent the imports security of bulk meterials in the import structure of China, and on some factors as well as on the whole import supply chain, China's imports has been in the high-risk status.The main task of this paper is to systemly analyze China's current import situation of bulk strategic meterials,and to assess the risk with the various risk factors exist on the imports supply chain. Then to alert the security situation of China's bulk strategic goods imports, and to recommend some advices to avoid the risks.This study first uses the qualitative method to analysis the various kinds of supply chain risks which affect China's imports security of bulk strategic meterials. And on the basis of this, we use the quantitative method to evaluate the probability of the risk occurring on the supply chain with a simple method of fuzzy evaluation,and at last propose relevant evade methods.The main content and research results of the paper are:Introduction, including the theoretical background and practical significance, the relevant research literature, the innovation and deficiencies, as well as the content of the paper.The chapter 1 is the analysis on the import intuation of bulk strategic meterials in China,and mainly on the international and domestic environment, the supply and demand; the current pattern of imports, including dependence analysis and distribution of the source region. The chapter 2 is about the supply chain risk awareness,the main part is an analysis on the important factors that affect the import security in diffent segments of the supply chain,Which include the supply risk factors, the market risk factors, the transport risk factors and the other risk factors, combined the supply chain risk management theory,and evaluation of the probability of risk occurring with the use of a simple fuzzy evaluation methods.The chapter 3 is the research on the measures to guarantee the import security of the bulk strategic meterials.Including to realize the stability and diversification of the supply, to construct a transportation security system, to strive for the international pricing power, as well as to strengthen the overseas investment.
