The Study On International Competitiveness Of China's Trade In Transportation Service

In the 21st century, especially since the accession to the WTO, China received more than ever to facilitate the development of international trade and more equal terms, with rapid development of trade in goods. Trade in transportation services which is derivative demand as trade in goods is also increasingly active. The transport sector is the traditional labor-intensive industries, but with the development of technology, modern technology to the transportation industry has become increasingly capital-intensive industries change, China, as a result of the loss of the comparative advantage. Although transport services exports growing, China's transport services trade deficit is still many years in a row because of historical reasons for the deficit.Just under this background, this paper studies international competitiveness of China's trade in transportation services. This thesis firstly elaborates the basic concept of the trade in service including the definition and classification. On the basis of the international competitiveness of the industry theory, the research of the international competitiveness of China's trade in transportation services positions in the competitiveness of industries research level. Reference the concept of the competitiveness of trade in services, this paper defines the international competitiveness of the trade in transportation services.Then construct evaluation index system of the international competitiveness of the trade in transportation services. Choose six indexes in three fields of international market occupation, the export of transport services trade, and the net export of transport services trade to analyze the actual and potential international competitiveness of China. China has an obvious current international competitive disadvantage on the transport services trade, while has an outstanding potential international competitive advantage on the transport services trade. Then chapter V chooses eight indexes in the six fields of transport services industry development, goods trade development, the flow of FDI, production of industry including labor force and human capital, the related industries including transportation equipment manufacturing industry and port industry, and the market environment to analyze the key influence factors of international competitiveness of transport services trade in China. The author finds that port industry, laber force and the freedom of transport services trade are the three main factors increasing China's transport service trade competitiveness. The FDI of transport services industry and transportation equipment manufacturing industry are the weak points affecting China's transport services trade competitiveness. Other fators are the medium fators affecting the international competitiveness.According to the above analysis, the last chapter puts forward the suggestions to improve China's transport services trade competitiveness.
