Study On Risk And Claim Strategy Of Highway Strategy Of EPC Contract Pattern

EPC is a new pattern in the international project prime contract, And it also extended energetically by Ministry of Construction in the nation. With the development of EPC project prime contract, it is applied more and more widely in the domestic construction project. Though EPC pattern is applied in the water power project, petroleum industry, and the speciality of chemical engineering, but it will refer to highway engineering. So, studies are superficial in the field of construction risk analysis and contract claim administer of highway engineering project of EPC project prime contract.The thesis will be analysed which applies system method and combines engineering practice and summaries in the thesis are followed:1. It analyses the origin and speciality of EPC pattern which bases on many literatures and engineering practices of EPC project prime contract. It also analyses the genesis and basic character of EPC pattern and discusses the risk speciality of highway engineering of EPC pattern in view of contractors.2. It generalizes the common several methods of risk evaluation bases on studies of former theory of risk and emphasizes application of fuzzy math. The thesis considers expressway project as the research object, according to the characteristic of EPC project, applies the basic principle of fuzzy math and establishes fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model and risk evaluation index system to evaluate the risk of highway engineering.3. This paper discusses the claim factors of highway engineering of EPC pattern in view of contractors. This paper will discusse how to get the best claim strategy to deal with compensation when the contractors are conscious of the latent chance of claim or when the claim affair occurs.
