Based on it, author conducts statistics, classification on subsidiary of China telecom's product competition status, stock management status in city A. It conducts a deep analysis on the problem of company As inventory level, stock turn over rate, goods shortage, demand fluctuation etc. And points out the root cause of stock management problem is the shortage of performance appraisal and management mechanism, irrational supplier management.In terms of the problem of company A, the author puts forward to optimize procedure and clarify the control system of inventory management of company A, and to conduct a classification management on company material by ABC method, adopts different control method on different materials. This article dwells on the application of economic order quantity (EOQ) model for the materials of communication terminals and proposes calculation methods for EOQ and re-order point (ROP), and then it focuses on the benefits brought about by the application of the new methods; it discusses the JIT procurement control over the inventory of large-scale exchanging and transmission equipment; it also calculates the benefits resulted from the usage of this control method.As the inventory control in the telecommunication operation sector is not mature nor complete in both practice and experience, along with the limited theoretical level of the author, this article is expecting your understanding if any inappropriate views.
