Study Of Project Management Applied In The Institute Of Architectural Designing

A large majority of domestic institutes of architectural designing are inevitably facing a great challenge for survival as the increasing competition, fully opening of the market of architectural designing and sequence effects of opening policy on the market of architecture abroad after joining the World Trade Organization (WTO). To strengthen the competition power of oneself and get the advantage in the market, the administrator in the institute of architectural designing have to covert the strategy of management and study the advanced experience of designing management abroad. As well as they must narrow the gap between China and foreign countries in project management and set up the management mode matching up to the system of modern enterprise administration, make a successful transition from state-owned enterprises to stock-joined enterprises as soon as possible in the end. This thesis analyzes and studies the problem on establishing the project manager system based on the basic theories of project management.The thesis firstly introduces the present conditions of architectural designing industry, analyzes the problems and challenge at present in the institute of architectural designing. It concludes that most of the institute of architectural designing has not set up modern designing project management system. In order to promote the ability of competition, the institute of architectural designing has to set up modern designing project management system. Following, the basic theories and knowledge system of project management are introduced summarily. Meanwhile, the thesis expounds the basic essential of designing project management. And it offers the basic opinions associated with establishment of project management of architectural designing. The author analyzes how to form an effective project organization, how to select a qualified design manager and how to build project team. And the author expounds issues on how to carry out process management, quality management and cost management on designing project in the institute of architectural designing. At the same time the problems that should be paid attention to are expound in the thesis. Finally, combined with the successful cases of XT Architectural Designing Institute, the author introduces the concrete circumstances on how to carry out designing project management, analyzes the problems and solutions in project management of architectural designing process.
