Research On HSDPA Wireless Network For Shanxi Netcom

High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) is based on adaptive modulation coding (AMC) and mixed for repeat request (HARQ) technology with a view to increasing throughput, reducing the delay and obtaining the peak data rates. Received wide attention in recent years, HSDPA becomes one of the key technologies in next-generation mobile communications system. This paper presents the background of the HSDPA, the key technology for HSDPA, sums up the main technical characteristics of HSDPA, and discussions with emphasis the impact of R99 network architecture by the introduction of HSDPA at different levels. Based on user projection, business forecasting and market analysis, the introduction strategy of HSDPA in the shanxi branch of the CNC(China Network Company) have been advanced. After the completion of network planning, a detailed investment analysis has been done about the Shanxi Netcom HSDPA.This paper researches on Shanxi Netcom's HSDPA deployment systemically, the job has been done are mainly presented as follows:(1) The key technologies and technical features about the HSDPA are summarized, and the technology's current development situation such as network equipment, terminal equipment, business conditions is introduced. The impact of R99 network architecture by the introduction of HSDPA is expounded from the network equipment, network coverage, network capacity, transmission resources, and power resources etc.(2) On the basis of ensuring network coverage and meeting future market needs of different networks, the author has finished designing the introduction strategy of HSDPA in Shanxi Netcom.(3) On the premise of learning HSDPA deeply, the author has completed the planning process in detail, and has given the system simulation of the key areas. In the end a more comprehensive analysis about the simulation results have been done.(4) According to the 3G scale of network construction and investment estimation of Shanxi Netcom in 2006, the paper has finished the HSDPA investment analysis. Given the different estimated results for the various schemes, the investment return of network construction has been analyzed in the end.
