From 1990's, with development of science & technology and productivities, the consumption level of custom promotes continuously, the competition between enterprises is more serious, and the politics, economics and social environment change greatly. The uncertainty of market demand increases, therefore traditional management pattern centralized by production and products is not suitable for competition, instead of it is supply chain management focusing on custom demand. Under supply chain management pattern, the fates of all the enterprises on the supply chain tie together, the competition of a single company is reflected by the holistic supply chain's efficiency, and the single company can live and develop under the serious market competition only to building effectively cooperative relationship with its upstream and downstream enterprises. As the upstream of supply chain, vendor is one of the most important factors when an enterprise sets up a supply chain. The selection of vendor, especially the strategic vendor, concerns the fate of the whole supply chain. Therefore, making further research on the selection and evaluation of strategic vendor, not only has important academic value, but also has high practice meaning. Compared with traditional selection of vendor, the selection and evaluation of strategic vendor under supply chain have more new characteristics and requirement. Based on supply chain management, from the core enterprise of supply chain, this dissertation makes further research on the selection and evaluation of strategic vendor. The main research works are as follows:(1) Sum up the correlative literatures, expound the meanings of strategic vendor relationship in supply chain, stress on the meaning of building strategic cooperative relationship, and design the flow and steps of strategic vendor selection in detail.(2) Based on the analyses of factors about strategic vendor compositive evaluation, and combining the characteristics of strategic vendor relationship, build the evaluation index system of strategic vendor, introduce the meaning of the index system and account methods, and use the method of setting value statistic to quantify the qualitative index, in order to provide the original data for compositive evaluation.(3) Combining the characteristics of strategic vendor under supply chain, make the systematic research on it. Choose extremum method to standardize the original data, use combined method to weight the index system, select the linear weighting method to make compositive evaluation and order the suppliers, finally come out the compositive evaluation model.
