Research On Organization Structure Transformation Of Medium Or Small-sized Joint-stock Banks In China

With our banks'open completely, the tidal wave of economic in the world struck largely to the international financial system. Our medium or Small-sized joint-stock banks have to face to both the big stress of the globalization of international finance market and the fierce competition from foreign capital banks. If we still can not push a really efficient transformation in organization, the probability of our joint-stock banks even the whole bank industry encountering finance crisis will become bigger and bigger. Therefore, the organization structure transformation of medium or Small-sized joint-stock banks is doubly paid concern, and becoming a hot point coming from the theories field and government decision-makers. This paper refers to how our joint-stock banks reform their inner structure in order to face the fierce competition and obtain reform's breakthrough.The main body of this article firstly introduced the basic theories on commercial bank organization structure, defined what is organization structure and what is commercial bank's organization structure. On the basis of it, this paper introduced the basic types of commercial bank's organization structure, the important theories of organization structure and the basic theories of commercial bank's organization structure. In order to make the next theoretic preparation for our medium or small-sized joint-stock banks'organization structure.On this base, the article introduced the connotation and extension of medium or small-sized joint-stock banks, analyzed the development and vision of medium or small-sized joint-stock banks. Farther more, put forward the necessity and motivation of the joint-stock banks' organization structure transformation.Then, on the basis of elaborating in details and analyzing the Citibank and Holland bank's organization structure patterns--Multidivisional Structure, the article analyzed and put forward an organization structure patterns which adapts to our medium or small-sized joint-stock banks by using of Contingent Theory. Afterward, the article takes Bank of Minsheng as an example. On the basis of introducing Bank of Minsheng's general situation and organization structure practical condition, the article analyzed and introduced the scheme, anticipate result and the evaluation of Multidivisional Structure in Bank of Minsheng which has been started since September,2007. It has provided demonstration evidence on the selection of organization structure pattern for the small share system commercial banks. The last part is a conclusion and prospects, in which part summarized the whole article, get four conclusions and put forward an expectation for the further research.By means of the study of the organization structure transformation, using the experience of organization structure transformation of other countries'banks, and integrating the practical situation of joint-stock banks in China, this paper is searching for an organization structure pattern which is appropriate for China's actual conditions and also good for the organization structure pattern of medium or Small-sized joint-stock banks'developing, which can also provide attention and inspiration for the research of this kind in the future as well.
