Application Of Multi-Barycenter Method To China's Iron And Steel Industry

The Iron and Steel Industry is very important to any country in the world. It plays an important role in the process of economic development as essential raw and processed materials. China's Iron and Steel Industry has developed quickly in the current years and been the biggest producer in the world of six years after 1996 with the total output of more than a hundred million ton. But meanwhile, this rapid development left many latent problems in the industry such as illegitimate spatial pattern. China's Iron and Steel Industry's palatial pattern is the result of history. At the beginning, it fits to China's condition. But as the time goes, it has become illegitimate. So making a research on the change of the spatial pattern is very important to offer reference to the healthy development of China's Iron and Steel Industry.At the same time, the application of barycenter method is not correct in some research. So this dissertation introduces the multi-barycenter method and uses it to make a research on the change of the spatial pattern of China's Iron and Steel Industry.The content of this thesis is listed as follows:The first chapter explains the meaning of the problem and the contents and the frame of this text. The second chapter introduces two method: location quotient analytical method and barycenter method, and chooses barycenter method as the proper one. The third chapter analyzes some application of barycenter method to find it's fault. The forth chapter introduces the multi-method and the fifth chapter use it to make a research on the change of spatial pattern of China's Iron and Steel Industry.
