| This thesis addresses the basic principles of Lean Production and relevant managerial methods for realizing Lean Production. By combining the characteristics of the industry of paint production in China, with the author's experience on production management in domestic lead paint production enterprise, in the light of modern JIT production managerial theory, this thesis analyzes the existing problems involved in the paint production in China, suggests that JIT production managerial methods aiming at solving such problems under the trend that the variety of production is getting increasingly high and the market competition is becoming increasingly fierce. Taking the production line of P Company as an example, the thesis addresses continuous improvement activity according the Lean Production Theory systematically. The results show that many wastes and non-valued added activities are eliminated, WIP (Work-in-Process) and CT (Cycle Time) are reduced, the production efficiency of line is improved, and production cost is also reduced, then product competitiveness is improved. Meanwhile, a new idea is put forward creatively that operation department, logistic department, quality control department and manufacturing department are cooperated cross-functionally to form a big co-worked cell. This research results have high reference value for similar companies as well as other domestic companies to implement lean production. |
