| With the development of economic and technology, as a result of frequent changing requirements coming from the market, competition between companies become more and more serious. As a traditional state owned huge company, SY Manufacturing Corporation's original production method can not meet current market requirements. Therefore, to develop a new production management with high quality, high efficiency and low cost become a core question for this company.Lean production can be sourced back to production method used in Toyota in1950s and currently be respected and used in kinds of manufacturing fields. As a proved a successful production management, Lean method can greatly reduce waiting time, waste in manufacturing process and buffer and hence to improve company's competition. This thesis deeply analyzed the whole process that how a sample unit implement lean production management in SY Manufacturing Corporation through study of Lean theory and the company's real condition. It described how to select the sample unit in start phase, implement strategy, situation investigation, related cases studies, metrics setting up,6s management, visual management, production planning management, one-piece flow, standardization operation, technical improvement, parallel engineering, quality KAIZEN, fixture improvement and OEE in detail. Meanwhile, It evaluated some Lean metrics including cycle time, quality, cost and OEE at a system level to find existing problems and proposed improve action plan correspondingly. This thesis presented a detailed and easy-use sample solution for SY Manufacturing Corporation to change its traditional production management to Lean manufacturing method through cases studies; therefore, it can be used as a reference for further implement for production management in the whole company. |
