Research On The Landscape And Its Vicissitudes Of The Ancient Village Of Nashuixi In West Of Hubei Province

The west of Hubei Province is an area where the cultures of Ba,Chu and Shu blending with Han culture. Culture diversity and unique topographic features of this region have been giving birth to some system and style of typical mountain village and traditional folk house. The ancient village of Nashuixi is the outcome of long process of Chinese Agriculture society civilization in the unique geographical environment in West of the Hubei Province, which is the carrier of the space of daily living and production and the residents' spirit culture. As the most precious historical and cultural heritages in our country traditional culture, Nashuixi is the regional culture root which having the historical memories and local features in the city development.Therefore, it has the value of research and protection. However, with the modern high-speed development of science and technology, the mutual blending of culture, the economic globalization and transition of information, Nashuixi is changing rapidly. Conflicts between heritages of substance and culture in ancient village and modern life style are becoming more furiously and more obviously day by day. Local customs,traditional folk residences,landscape environment in ancient village are vanishing gradually. Particularly, the momentum of "the development of western regions" of world interests is swift and violent, when the cultural construction can't guide the direction of economic construction, the development of the area will often display enormous destruction strength. These destroy not only pointed to the natural environment, but also pointed to precious humanistic resources.In the research of this text, selected the ancient village of Nashuixi in west of the Hubei Province as search object, referring to the materials of the field survey, interviewing with some residents, surveying and mapping, and relevant information on historical documents. At the same time, comprehensively using The Habitat Environmental Science, Culture Geography, Rural Landscape Planning, and other relevant theories. Emphatically, researching into the landscape and its vicissitudes of Nashuixi, and analyzing the effect factors which have been influencing on these. This article classified the landscape of ancient village from macro to micro in three levels: First, the landscape and its vicissitudes in the integral structure level of the village; Second, the landscape and its vicissitudes of the public neighborhood level of the village, referring to the materials of mapping and interviewing, researching into business street spaces, laneway spaces, Guandi Temple and shine dam space, focusing on whose interface of encircling space, service space, characteristics of public buildings and so on; Third, the landscape and its vicissitudes in the dwelling house level of the village, in this level, the article classified the dwelling house under three types by local instance in the village, referring to the surveying and mapping, researching into whose different categories in the plane and the service space form, building structure and spatial characteristics, living culture of the dwelling house, the construction and decoration materials of the dwelling house and so on. Also, referring which classified three levels in landscape and its vicissitudes of village, this article researched the effect factors from levels of natural environment, social economic environment, social cultural environment in traditional and modern period. The research focused on the most dominant factor of all selected levels, analyzing the factors in all levels how influencing each other and working each other. Further, this text advanced protection and development studies of the ancient village of Nashuixi, including necessary and pressing situation of it, the relevant principles, the contents of protection and development, and finally, advancing the viable pertinence approach of protection and development of ancient village by the end.This article hopped that through studying of landscape and its vicissitudes of this case village to find a suitable way for protection and development model of ancient villages with particular ethnic and geographical characteristics, as well as protected historical and cultural resources of them, and to make protection and development on the basis of the value of "cultural significance", from simple protection to the new stage of conservation and reuse.
