| The industry cluster is the output from the fierce global competition, and the indispensable route for countries and regions to respond to the globalization challenges, it is promoting growth of worldwide economy. The industrial cluster theory is a new type of modern regional development theory, has become an important problem of regional economy and industrial economy, it has notable significance for guiding regional development and strengthening competition force.The study of C&M industry is a study on the phenomenon of meeting and exhibition, from the perspective of the Industry Cluster. At present, the development of exhibition industrial clusters has emerged in many parts of China with the gradually accelerating development trend, but the domestic study on exhibition industry cluster is still in its initial stage, less study on competitiveness of the exhibition industry cluster .GEM model based on diamond model is a method of quantitative analysis. The paper tried to apply GEM model on meeting and exhibition industry.By summing up related domestic and international research, the author built the indices, inspected the application of GEM model in other industries, trying to establish an index system. The author made questionnaire to experts for getting indices weight, using AHP. Then the author made questionnaire to Dalian exhibition enterprises for getting each index score. Finally, the author calculated the GEM competency score.This paper measures Dalian exhibition industry cluster competency through a systematic analysis of scientific research, according to the results of data analysis, the paper provided the advice for government and enterprises. |
