Only after about 60 years,have Australia and Japan changed from severely opposite enemies in World WarⅡand in the early stage of postwar period gradually to close trade partners in the 1970s,then to constructive strategic partners,eventually to present military para-alliances,which seems to be a very successful and smooth process that China can learn much from.Moreover,this article also attempts to discuss and seek the strategic countermeasures which suit for China on the condition of close Australian-Japanese relations.The article analyzes the developmental status of postwar economic and trade relations between Australia and Japan,and divides the process into three stages and analyzes them one by one.The focus is set on the analysis of the reason why the trade relations get promoted after the cold war.Based on the previous analysis,furthermore,this article does some primary and experimental analysis to the future of the relations.In the end,the article puts the relations into the complicated Asian environment and attempts to do the comprehensive and all-around analysis and pays special attention to China's strategic choice confronting with the development of the economic and trade relations between Australia and Japan.
