Based On The Functional Point Method Of Software Projects Earned Value Analysis

In recent years,information technology (IT) industries in the most economically developed countries has been referred to an unprecedented height and an important position. IT industry as the core of the software industry has also been a rapid development, but also to the existence of delays, cost overruns as the main feature of software projects high failure rate. One of the main reasons is not good software the progress of the project management and cost control. Earned Value Analysis, as a good and the progress of the integration cost analysis tool can be introduced to software project management, but there are some problems.In this paper, Earned Value Analysis in software projects exist in the application of an in-depth analysis, is unable to accurately estimate the major software projects in the process of developing the key variables as well as a clear specific problems. Due to a software project itself and the complexity of the project personnel greater impact on the level of factors, resulting in the earned value analysis of the quantitative tools for basic data accuracy low. And the corresponding software development before the software size, workload related to the progress of the study estimated more variables, and methods of estimation techniques also more mature, functional point method is a form of indirect but more accurate software development workload measurement technology. This paper presents the functional point method introduced to the software project the outcome of the measure actual output, and built a functional point method based on the software project Earned Value Analysis.
