Research On The Strategy Of Outward Foreign Direct Investment In Zhejiang

The essence of Foreign Direct Investment(FDI) is that industrial capital flows transnationaly, and the capital from investment country combines with the element of production in host country effectively. With the fast advancement of economical globalization, FDI has become an important strategic selection for an economic body positively participating in the international industrial division of labor, promoting the process of industrial structure upgrading, and realizing the economic sustainable development.In current, the prominent problems existing in Zhejiang's economic development show that, the contradiction between the economic development and the environment supporting capacity is getting serious increasingly, the shortage of energy resources is becoming the bottleneck question that restricts economic development, and the extensive economic growth mode has restricted the economic coordination and the sustainable development. At the same time, the manufacturing industry of Zhejiang is still at the terminal position of value chain in the international division of labor. The trade barriers, such as anti-dumping to Chinese products by foreign countries, has restricted the developing space of Zhejiang's product in overseas market. The important topic with the economic development of Zhejiang will have to be paied attention in current and the next section of times that, speeds up the step of "going out", use effectively "two kind of markets, two kind of resources" of international and domestic, promote the two-way flow of capital, realizes sustained and healthy development of economy.In chapter 2, some representative theories on the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), especially the theories on FDI in developing country are summarized. In chapter 3, using Dunning's investment development path theory, carries on the empirical analysis on the investment development path of FDI in Zhejiang, it is being in the second stage of investment development path for Zhejiang. As a regional economy in a country, the FDI in Zhejiang is also following the general rule of FDI in developing country, while adapting with the economic development level, Zhejiang has its own particularity. In chapter 4-5, by analyzing the effect of the FDI, the main power of FDI in Zhejiang is furtherly discussed, from three aspects of macroscope, industry and investor, specifically analyzes the intrinsic condition and the relative superiority of FDI in Zhejiang. In chapter 6, according to the sentiment and the feature of FDI in Zhejiang, analyzes the FDI strategic selection of industry and location in Zhejiang. The view is proposes that as a goal by giving full play to comparative advantage, fostering the competitive advantage, promoting the industrial structure upgrading, and enhancing the industrial international competitiveness, we should positively uses the location advantage of host country, speed up the step which the superiority industry "going out" to obtain competitive advantage.
