Chinese Enterprises' Foreign Direct Investment Locational Selection Strategy Under The Financial Turmoil

In the "11th five-year" plan outline, China explicitly pointed that the strategy of "going out" is the key opening strategy in the new period. However, foreign direct investment is a major and effective way for implementing the strategy of "going out", location selection is the first facing problem. Location selection is influenced and restricted in three kinds of factors by the investor, the host country and investment enterprise. However, the global financial turmoil triggered by the U.S. "sub prime crisis" directly changed external environment of China's Foreign Direct Investment and caused the location selection factors changing. Therefore, how to adjust the foreign direct investment location selection strategy according to the environment'change and select the best investment location becomes an issue Chinese enterprises and scholars must be seriously to explore.This article is in this vein, first of all, based on study of foreign direct investment location choice theory, we analysis the impaction of financial turmoil on the business environment for foreign direct investment; Secondly, we analysis the influence factors of enterprise's foreign direct investment location selection decision, using the three-dimensional model, to divide into three types for the target country of location choice, and then establish the corresponding relations between the type business and the target country; finally, according to the changes of the three investment mode of investor, target countries and investment enterprise caused by the financial turmoil, we judge enterprise investment intention in the corresponding types, and propose the countermeasures for different types of enterprise of foreign direct investment location selection after the financial turmoil, so as to research in this area of China to make their own thinking.Facing the financial turmoil, speed up the foreign direct investment are opportunities and challenges that any enterprise would face in its development and growth, in this paper analyzed the representative enterprise's location selection strategy in three investment mode, and other enterprises'foreign direct investment location selection problem still need summarized through rich overseas investment activities experience.
