After 21 century, with the development of economy and urbanization process in our country, the urban mass transit, including the metro, the light railway, and the magnetic levitation etc which now are in progress, it presents the tendency of fast development about urban mass transit by lots of cities. Compare with the other projects, the investment and the workload in the equipment system play an important role in the urban mass transit construction, sometimes it can reach more than 50%. Not only the equipment system itself, but also the technologies, and the interface between the subsystems and constructions are much more complicated. How to carry on the organization and the management about the equipment in the best way, becomes the issues which the researchers need to discuss for a long while.In this thesis, the situation of the urban mass transit in China has been analyzed. Then, it mentions that the equipment interface management is big problem in urban mass transit construction which met some trouble like confusion, missing etc. To solve that problem, this thesis proposes to use information technology to improve interface management. It explains the concept of the equipment interface and the principle of the equipment interface matching,the matching process and the matching tolerance. It also shows the meaning of the equipment interface management and designs to setup the framework of equipment interface management system in order to create coordinated working environment for all entities related to construction. In the end, it introduces the application of the function through the equipment interface management system in Shenyang metro construction.The study involves many majors, such as system project, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, management science, information science etc. It revealed the theoretic method, the key technology, and the specific method. The research achievement has the certain instruction significance to the urban mass transit construction of our country, and has widened the organization mode of equipment management, at the same time it has prompted the implementation of the urban mass transit Informationization management in practice.
