The product line planning is the mid-term strategy based on the in/out circumstance of enterprise and long-term object. Product line planning which decide the length/width/depth strategy will product series of projects. The traditional mode to choose projects, rank projects and allocate resource that based on enterprise's capacity Balance and analysis of risk/income hasn't already met diversified circumstance of the enterprise. Enterprise requires that one kind of new project selection method and scheduling, which can satisfy each project resource need, be consistent with company strategy and undulate around average budget cost every year within planning scheduling time .The paper sums up resource allocation,project management and product line planning theories of scholars at home and abroad. The paper, based on the study of the combination of project resource allocation and company strategy, summed up project selection in the previously and project preferential step ordering method.The paper combined strategy bucket model with relative index marks method to select projects and allocate resource. Then the paper brought forward the packing-multiple-boxes model. The model can plan the projects that the front chose out and restrain down in general resource during the 5 years scheduled time.Taking XX Company as an example, in the premise of ascertain of overall strategy,choose out projects during product line planning. Finally, with packing-multiple-boxes model, projects are allocated resource.
