Recently, CRH is famous for its convenience, safety, comfort, high-speed, flexible organization and favored by railway transportation and city orbit traffic transportation. It's inevitably the trend of future to make full use of CRH resource to solve the domestic transport problem. Though our government has gradually relaxed the restrictions on the sale of CRH, their practical effects are not satisfactory. Based on the detail analysis of CRH's current characteristics, tins thesis proposes the existing problems in aspects of pricing strategy and inventory control strategy. In further step, this thesis applies the price discrimination to make full use of the resource, uses the dynamic inventory control tool to manage the limited resource optimally in order to achieve the goal of maximizing the total revenue. The main research contents are as follows:Firstly, Introduction is given in chapter 1. At first, this chapter introduces the CRH's operation situation that is distinctly different from airline transport, China Railway Normal-Speed Train (CRN). After that, the existing problems in pricing and inventory are proposed. In the end, the over background of research contents and research methods are put forward.Secondly, Chapter 2 makes a brief review including the basic theory of revenue management (RM), research status of price discrimination home and abroad, research methods of inventory control policies. Relative knowledge of price discrimination includes its definition, economical meaning, classification and application in different industries. Through reviewing the relative literatures about inventory control, it's concluded that dynamic inventory control method can be applied to network problem of CRH.Thirdly, the implementation of price discrimination in CRH is studied in chapter 3. After knowing the problems of CRH, it's going to conclude the implementing steps of price discrimination and the framework of applying the price discrimination in CRH. In the end, it's proved that price discrimination has advantages and can increase total revenue by discussing a practical example.Fourthly, chapter 4 mainly solves the three-station network inventory control problem. Three-station network includes three types of products, and then this chapter uses Hamilton-Jacobi equation to make dynamic control for three products' inventory. Furthermore, the dynamic inventory control model is set up and relative property of the model is discussed. Based on the above, the property of revenue performance and marginal revenue are proved with data simulation.Fifthly, chapter 5 compares and analyzes two policies. Policy 1 is the dynamic inventory control policy that is studied in chapter 4. Policy 2 is FCFS (first-come and first-served) policy that doesn't consider the inventory control. This chapter assumes the demand of three products correspond to Possion distribution, makes 100 tests and gets the average values, and then analyzes the allocated inventory and revenues under two policies. What's more, it's going to discuss how the allocated inventory changes according to the change of three products' demand. From the above, the comparison results of two policies prove that policy 1 is better than policy 2.Finally, Chapter 6 concludes the main research contributions and limitation of this thesis, and then recommends further researches in this field.
