In order to improve revenue of railway department and make full use of transport capacity of high-speed railway,high-speed railway revenue management is studied by an increasingly number of scholars.The revenue of high-speed railway is influenced indirectly by passengers' choice behavior,but the majority of research about high-speed railway revenue management,mainly based on traditional passenger choice behavior analysis method,rarely consider the existence of passengers' individual heterogeneity.Individual heterogeneity,to some extent,decide the preference of passenger,affect passengers' choice and critically influence the revenue of railway department.Therefore,this paper study the effect of individual heterogeneity on high-speed railway revenue management based on the existing research results at home and abroad.The specific research are as follows:Firstly,the formation mechanism,performance characteristics and measuring method of individual heterogeneity have been analyzed,and the research situation about individual heterogeneity in the field of transportation at home and abroad have been summarized.Secondly,3122 valid data have been taken by SP survey method.Obvious differences among passengers have been explained qualitatively by cross-analyzing passengers' attributes after data processing.Thirdly,passenger choice model considering and not considering individual heterogeneity are established respectively and the results of two model are compared.The individual heterogeneity analysis of cost parameter and travel time parameters is carried out.The relation between individual heterogeneity and the effect of individual heterogeneity on passenger's preference for high-speed train's travel time,cost and departure time is examined.The effect of individual heterogeneity on passenger choice behavior is analyzed.Results show that the goodness of fit of passenger choice behavior model considering individual heterogeneity is better and the willingness to pay of passenger will be over-estimated when individual heterogeneity are ignored.Finally,High-speed railway revenue management model considering and not considering individual heterogeneity are established respectively.The trains from Beijing to Xi'an are presented as examples for case analysis.The results of two model are compared and analyzed,based on single OD and multiple OD respectively,to study the effect of individual heterogeneity on High-speed railway revenue management.Results show that the price strategy of trains change more,the satisfaction rate of passenger demand is better and the earning growth of railway department is more distinct when individual heterogeneity are considered.In addition,the price strategy of high-speed railway revenue management not considering individual heterogeneity is impractical and make an adverse difference to the increase of railway department's revenue.
