Studies On Operational Risk Management Of Xi'an Xin Jie Logistics Company

Since the reform and opening-up, the logistics industry in China has developed rapidly with the steady development of the national economy, from scratch to established, from small to large. Nowadays, the logistics risk has become one of the main obstacles that hindering the development of logistics industry. The management and control of the logistics risk have been taken great concern by logistics enterprises. With good management, the logistics enterprises will develop steadily and rapidly under the promising economic environment. If not so, they will also probably encounter the bankruptcy and closing down as they can not burden the loss of logistics risk. Therefore, it is urgent and imminent that the logistics enterprises must strengthen the management and control of logistics risk.Based on risk management related to the advanced management theory, the thesis uses combination of theory and evidence and case analysis methods to explore the new Xi'an Xinjie logistics companie's (XJ) operating in the risk management problems, and gives in-depth analysis of the reasons behind the problem. By the analysis of XJ's classic case of risk management, and on the basis of enterprise risk management modes borrowed from advanced successful ones, with the use of risk management theory, XJ logistics company logistics operations risk management program system has been designed. Therefore, XJ has defined the purpose of the risk management system, established appropriate risk management structure, appointed risk management personnel to determine responsibilities, set up a clear risk management report system and the internal risk control cooperative relations between different departments, and, established an operational risk management implementation plan. The thesis demonstrates the implementation of risk management system as well: such as how logistics enterprises identify risk; how to use Quantitative and Qualitative analysis to assess risk; how to use risk assessment to measure how to deal with the risk of loss; as well as the operational risk management system of inspection and evaluation. The thesis explains how to improve Xi'an Xinjie logistics company's risk management systematically.The study and statement of this thesis is highly practical for Xi'an Xinjie Logistics Corporation. Moreover, the established management system in operating risk also has practical value for the other third party logistics enterprises.
