In order to adapt to the rapid development of international import and export trade, under the high attention of the joint inspection department of Chinese government, the application of information technology in the port logistics field has got rapid development and obtained certain achievement. But the complexity of the port logistics platform users, business and environment, including the lack of scientific, effective and theoretical knowledge in project risks in the process of the construction, combines with shortage of analytical tools and application experience, which have made the department of logistics platform project often ended in failure over the past few years. So the projects can achieve their goal much rarer. In the view of this kind of service enterprises and government leading logistics informationization project, with the mainline of project risk management, this paper revolves around the following content:Firstly, based on the combination of the project risk management theory at home and abroad and the software life cycle, this article puts forward the research thought of the information-based project risk management. Secondly, taking shipping logistics system as an example, it collects, analyzes and reorganizes the project management information, which should not only provide logistics service for enterprises, and to meet the needs of the joint inspection departments supervision and enforcement, including the project planning, project logs and other related documentation, and then teases out the project risk factors that once was a threat. Finally, according to the results of the risk analysis on how to identify, analyze, evaluate and manage risk to establish scientific and effective project risk solution. On the one hand, the research work fills the risk management system that has been the lack of a scientific and effective tools and methods, on the other hand, it saves the project resources effectively, improves the working efficiency, promotes our country extroversion economy and accelerates the process of the port logistics information construction.
