Because of this, EPC engineeringlogistics risk events are worthy of being drew attention by project general contractorand relevant logistics service supplier.Currently, there are many rationales regarding risk management on EPCengineering basis, most of which are expounded from the stand of overall riskidentification of EPC engineering and biased towards management of EPCengineering in bidding and performance period and financial control. Thus it ishighly worthwhile both for theoretical studies and logistics practice to make out afeasible and compressive risk management module for overseas logistics services.The paper conducts research on logistics risk management based on EPC projectof Tianjin Electric Power Construction Company, with support by the theories ofmodern logistics of project and risk management. Stand on the international projectwhich developed in Tianjin Electric Power Construction Company and presentsituation and problem of the logistics risk management system, we identify emphasesand difficulties of logistics risk management by comprehensive use of the theory andmodel of intensive management of business project logistics and risk managementfollowed scientific methods in risk identification, risk analysis and risk assessment,select the adaptive logistics service providers, logistics scheme and execution flow,etc. We attempt to formulate a risk management method which is more scientific,feasible, pragmatic and can meet the request of material supply for EPC project, Wealso propose some effective measures on logistic risk and working emphasis for EPCproject. We hope these, on the basis of organic combination of the theories andpractice, could be useful to companies involving in engineering logistics.
