Study On Evolution Of Urban Form Of Nanchang

Urban form research is the evolution study of cities under the force of the various physical environment disciplines. The recent 30 years since China's reform and opening up is rapid development period. Urban form changed dramatically. This paper choose this special stage, as well as Nanchang. Its purpose was to study evolution of the Urban form, dynamic mechanism, outstanding problems and optimization recommendations under special economic background.The first two chapters of this thesis is the theory Study and the second part is case Study.In the theoretical research, this thesis introduced mainly the concept of the internal spatial structure and progress at home and abroad internal as well as dynamic mechanism and so on.The case study is the focus of this paper. Firstly, This thesis reviewed the history of Nanchang city form in transitional period. It start from the main functional space evolution and population changes,Then summed up the evolutional characteristics, dynamic mechanisms of Urban form and so on. Secondly, This thesis analysis the outstanding problems and the challenges of Urban form of Nanchang currently. This thesis analysis the different Programme of Nanchang urban form. And Pointed out Optimization plan. In the last, Drawing on concept of "smart growth" from Western countries, space controlling Strategies of Nanchang have been suggested.
