Study On The Evolution Of Urban Spatial Form Of The Suining Main City

In recent years,Suining City,which is located in the hilly and low mountain area of central Sichuan,is in an era of comprehensive and rapid economic development.The "coordinated Development Plan for Chengdu-Chongqing Urban agglomeration",adopted by the State Council in 2016,designated Suining as a regional central city.Suining should vigorously develop specialized production and central service functions.In the space structure of "two circles,three axes and five regions",Suining is an important node city in the north axis of Chengdu-Chongqing development.The development strategy will also promote the further development of Suining city,therefore,the orderly evolution of urban spatial form has put forward higher requirements.In view of this,In order to have a more comprehensive and profound understanding of the law of the expansion and evolution of the urban spatial form structure in different historical periods of Suining,as well as the factors such as the dynamic mechanism of the spatial form expansion,the problems faced by the spatial form and the countermeasures to optimize the spatial form,etc.On this basis,the paper selects the main urban area of Suining as the research area,and studies the evolution,evolution mechanism and optimization countermeasures of the urban spatial morphology.Using remote sensing image and GIS spatial analysis method,the evolvement process of urban spatial form in main urban area of Suining city was studied.Qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis were mainly used to describe and summarize the evolution of Suining urban form in different historical periods and characteristics of evolution.On the basis of in-depth analysis,the paper further explores the dynamic mechanism of the evolution of urban spatial form,Based on this,it further analyzes the problems faced by the spatial expansion of Suining main urban area and the optimization countermeasures,and guides the Suining city to a more reasonable layout of urban spatial form.(1)In the 1988-2015 year,the built-up area of Suining has been expanding year by year,and its main feature is epitaxial extension.Before the development of Hedong New Area,the city expanded to the area with better traffic facilities and terrain,which is mainly characterized by the gradual expansion circle of the west coast of Fujiang River.After the development of Hedong New Area,the urban form of Suining evoluted as an epitaxy jumping extension in the early stage,but content-type urban development in the later period.With the development of Suining economy,Suining urban space has gradually expanding to the industrial park in the suburb.The layout of urban function has undergone the evolution process of "decentralization centralization and redecentralization",and finally formed a multi center urban spatial structure.In a word,the main cities of Suining is mainly expanded from the old city as the center to the Hedong new area,the economic and Technological Development Zone and the Logistics Port Industrial Park.But taken together,the city still takes the old urban area as a single core development,and the urban expansion has exhibited the trend of "pancake pie".(2)This paper has concluded five driving factors of the expansion of urban spatial form in Suining,which are natural environment,government behavior,economictechnology,transportation development and population growth,which form synergy in the process of urban development.The dominant driving factors of Suining urban form expansion in different stages are different.Suining city was mainly influenced by natural geographical conditions in the initial stage of urban construction.Then,in the period of rapid urban development,economic-technology and traffic development play a more important role.And the late period was greatly influenced by economictechnology and policy decision.This paper also analyzes the problems facing the development of Suining's spatial form is facing,such as the non growth boundary of urban land,the insufficient facilities in the industrial park,low comprehensive carrying capacity of cities.The requirements for the development of urban space form under the concept of sustainable development are summarized from form compactness,public transportation,public space,ecological environment and economic benefits.After analyzing the major factors that affect the development of Suining City,this paper puts forward countermeasures for optimizing the urban spatial form in the main area of Suining as following: optimizing urban construction land structure,simultaneously developing new area and reconstructing old city,adhering to the development concept of ecological priority,strengthening the intervention of policy and planning.
