This paper studies tourism cooperation in the region around the Poyang Lake, is for the purpose of unifies the geography theory and the method to the region traveling cooperation practice, further thoroughly systematically studies the region traveling cooperation the concept, the rule, the discussion cooperation pattern, and provides the theory basis and the reality instruction for the regional economies policy and the region traveling plan.The tourist resources of Jiangxi Province is very rich, the development of tourism has also made the big progress over the past. But, on the national level, the development of tourism of Jiangxi Province is relatively backward, the reason which tourist resources and tourism status does not match is that the economy of Jiangxi Province is not developed. Analyzes the entire distribution of the Jiangxi Province tourism development, it is not difficult to discover that its tourism center of gravity mainly concentrates in Nanchang, Jiujiang, Jingdezhen, Yingtan, Shangrao, the area concentrates more than 50 percent of the high level of tourist resources, it have the condition with power- and-power union.This paper comprises five chapters:Chapter one is the preface, contains background, significance, the study on regional tourism cooperation both home and abroad is reviewed and evaluated, methodology and the frame wok of this thesis.Chapter two of this paper is related to some of the basic concept of regional cooperation in tourism, and the theoretical foundation. Chapter three of this paper defined the area around Poyang Lake, and analyzed the general conditions of the tourism development about region around the Poyang Lake from the characteristics of tourism resources, tourism reception facilities, traffic conditions, tourism market, and analysis of the tourism cooperation present situation and existence some problems in the region around Poyang Lake.Chapter four: the part has discussed the approaches to cooperation about the region around the Poyang Lake. Firstly, the paper implemented planning for the region around the Poyang Lake, which was to be divided five tourist area, they are Lushan Mountain tourist areas, Jingdezhen tourist area, Sanqing Mountain tourist area, Longhu Mountain tourist areas and Nanchang tourist areas, and take the five nodes as development pole.
