The Intra-industry Trade Theory And Empirical Study Of Zhejiang Province

After the Second World War, the world trade pattern has new changes. Rapid development of intra-industry trade which between developed countries have made a great challenge to the traditional trade theory which based on the comparative advantage. In order to keep with this new situation, intra-industry trade theory has gradually become a bright spot in the theoretical study. This paper focused on the theoretical studies in intra-industry trade and combined the study with the actual conditions of foreign trade in Zhejiang province. By researching of intra-industry trade theory and applying the understanding into practical situation, the paper trying to make a little innovation and depth on the basis of previous research.The paper can be divided into two parts: theoretical research and empirical research. In theoretical study, teased and summarized the existing complex intra-industry trade theory, and gave some comments from personal point of view. All of above was to make theoretical support for the following empirical research of affecting factors in intra-industry trade; attempting to make some supplement and improvement in level measurement method of intra-industry trade on the basis of existed research. In empirical research, designed a specific classification method and classifying each import & export commodity of Zhejiang Province into different group, measured the intra-industry trade level of various sectors in Zhejiang province. Finally, analyzed the results of empirical research, as the level of intra-industry trade of a country or region can in some extent to reflect the characteristics of its trade structure, giving deep analysis in current situation of Zhejiang's intra-industry trade and its existed problems, in the end put forward some strategies and proposals to adjust and improve the trade structure in Zhejiang province.
