Urban Spatial Distribution Of Source-typed Town And The Sustainable Development Of Area Economy

With exploiting and utilizing of resources,sourced-typed cities have developed ,these cities have became important bases of energy. Raw and processed materials had provided great contribution to country economy and development of society. Shanxi province locates in middle of China,where there is abundant mineral resource because of special geological structure. By the end of 2005, the number of resource kind is up to 138,distributing 3 cities ,2 counties and 18 towns . Among them 98 kinds of mineral resource have been proved their recource reservers. It is the base and the guarantee for the stead rapid and sustainable economic development in Shanxi.The urban spatial structure refers to the spatial relationship such as distribution, connection and combination among cities or towns with different scale and function. Rational urban spatial structure is conductive to rationally distributing regional resources,optimizing the industrial layout,expanding investment returns,and thus promoting the rapid growth of regional economy. However,due to their irrational urban spatial structure,many country administrative level of small towns in China have been unable to optimize the allocation of regional resourecs, duplicate construction and expand investment returns now,which to some extent restrict the economic development of them. As the the carrier of economic activities and a major port in social economic progress, the planning must regard economic development as the object. Thus there is direct realistic significance to explore the retionship between sourced-typed town and sustainable development of regional economic from the view of the urban system planning ,which effect future development , the long lasted prosperous of source-typed town and economic sustainable development in the whole province.Based on the theory of Urban Economy , Sustainable Development and Town development,the paper combines the theory of area economic sustainable development with planning contents and influence and bulids a model of urban spatial distribution satisfied with area economic sustainable development through application of qualitative and quantitative. And after analysis on the character,present situation of development and layout,taking town of Jingbian and Zheng`an as example ,the paper discusses how to plan the source-typed town`s industrial development direction and the urban spatial structure. At last the paper summaries the advice to the urban spatial distribution planning of the source-typed town in Shanxi province.
