Study Of Urban Water Source Area Rural Tourism Planning

China’s economic development as well as the rapid increase in population, urban water consumption has gradually increased, highlighted the contradiction between supply and demand, water shortages become a the major challenge in regional sustainable development. Protection of water sources area to become important to ensure urban water supply. Government implemented special water conservation management, the urban water source area paying heavy economic and social costs. The region restricted on industrial development. So there are much poorer resident than that of Urban. Therefore, how to protect the water sources environment, and at the same time, develop the socio-economic in the urban water source area has become the focus of attention.In fact, without economic development, water supply area does not have a chance to improve the environment of urban water source area.The rise of rural tourism and eco-tourism provide a more ideal model to realize the ecological environmental protection and socio-economic development for water resources area. In essence, rural tourism is also an eco-tourism area.This paper aims to realize the rural tourism planning with protection of water sources and community socio-economic development with case study of Leshan Town, Changchun prefecture. Through field investigation, SWOT analysis, GIS analysis and remote sensing images; we achieved the Leshan rural tourism planning.The main conclusions of this study as follows:(1) Based on the field surveys, tourism resources in the Leshan Town can be divided into seven types, and tourism resources evaluation results indicated that the quality of tourism resources in the Leshan town was high. There is great potential for rural tourism development.(2) Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats of rural tourism were introduced and the strengths lie on the good ecological environment and water resource area conservation.(3) The product positioning of rural tourism in Leshan town was planned as leisure tourist areas of urban residents, science education base for school students.(4) Comprehensive analysis of results showed that rural tourism development model in the Leshan town can be divided into two-axle, four areas.
