The Research On Knowledge Management System Establishment Of The Petroleum Pipeline Design Team

This paper explored the common issues existed within the knowledge-based team in China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Corporation; through the analysis of successful cases of domestic and foreign knowledge management application, the theory of knowledge management was introduced into the Civil Design Team of China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Corporation, in hoping of bringing in positive spirits and freshness to the team.Using China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Corporation's fundamental organization—Petroleum Pipeline Civil Design Team as the research target, this paper explored the concept of team knowledge, the creation of team knowledge, the transformation mechanism of team knowledge, and the evaluation of team effectiveness. Also, based on the team nature, a practical and user-friendly knowledge management system was established for the Petroleum Pipeline Civil Design Team, which greatly supports the knowledge accumulation, knowledge sharing, and knowledge innovation within the team. With this paper's directing, the establishment of the knowledge management system of Petroleum Pipeline Civil Design Team greatly inspired every team member, who became more actively involved in contributing their knowledge to the team, and truly enjoyed the delightful atmosphere of knowledge sharing. More importantly, with their knowledge sharing, the development of knowledge has transformed from an individual's level to a team's level; the team as a whole gets to constantly accumulate and develop its knowledge. In this way, the core competitiveness of the team has been enhanced; knowledge management has made a positive impact on the team performance of China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Corporation.
