Zhe-sheng Holding Company, a listed company , is a private enterprise dedicating in chemical dyestuff. It has owned sixteen majority-owned subsidiaries in Shang Hai, Si Chuan, Jiang Xi, Guang Dong, Hong Kong and so forth since it was founded in 1970.Nowadays, it is imperative for the company to solve the problems of how to motivate top management, how to appraise their performances, and finding out matters impacting on the effect of motivation.In this dissertation, three facts having an impact on motivation and a theory of salary determinism are introduced in the first chapter, and models, principles and methods of this motivation theory are deeply illustrated in the second chapter. Then a variety of theories concerning risk and reasons and types of risk are given a detailed illustration in the third chapter. In addition, risks surrounding the company are discoursed in multitude perspectives and a brief analysis is given to the company afterwards.At last, the impact of risk matters on performance appraisal and motivation of top management are discussed roundly, and empirical research of the company, salaries, performance and the elasticity of them are carried out in basis of building a model and coming up with a hypothesis. Hence, methods and effects of motivation above are discussed and a conclusion is drawn in the end.
