The Research On Economic Effect Of Taiwan Investment In China Mainland

In this paper, I study the economic effect of Taiwan investment in China mainland through the typical areas by comparative analysis. Yangtze River Delta region, the Pearl River Delta region and the west side of Taiwan Strait economic zone are not only facing with strategic opportunities for accelerating economic development, but also taking responsibility to promote the economic and trade cooperation and the exchanges cross-strait. This research of the economic effect of Taiwan investment in these areas is important and practical. Under the new situation, it is not only the need of speeding up the regional economic development, but also the urgent need of promoting economic and trade relationships cross-strait.This study is in the foundation of scientific analysis of information and data, fully utilizes the official statistics of mainland, and references to the statistics published by Taiwan. This study analyzes different characteristics of Taiwan investment in Yangtze River Delta region, the Pearl River Delta region and the west side of Taiwan Strait region from the scale of investment, industrial distribution, the technical level and the investment potential, and finds that Taiwan investment has stated regional economic integration with the mainland convergence of the proliferation of space. For further analysis of the effect of Taiwan investment in mainland, this paper studies the effect of Taiwan investment in two levels. One level is from Yangtze River Delta region, the Pearl River Delta region and the west side of Taiwan Strait economic zone, the other is from the typical cities such as Kunshan, Dongguan and Xiamen. The study adopts modern econometric modeling methods and research methods of combining quantitative and qualitative to construct comprehensive system from the mainland economy and cross-strait economy perspective, and we know that there are differences in the economic effect of Taiwan investment of different areas. Taiwan investment in economic zones plays a positive economic effect basically, but not necessarily the same. The economic effect of Taiwan investment in the west side of Taiwan Strait economic zone is slightly higher than the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta region, however, the economic effect of Taiwan investment in Xiamen is significantly lower than Dongguan and Kunshan City. The differences of economic effect of Taiwan investment in different areas involved in the specific economic indicators of the model.Finally, on the basis of analysis of the future trend of Taiwan investment and comparison of economic effect differences between different areas, the paper targets countermeasures in view of Taiwan investment-intensive areas, and problems of making use of the economic effects of Taiwan investment. This paper suggests that we should give full play to the economic effect of Taiwan investment from Chinese policy for Taiwan and the proposed regional conditions based on the problems of Taiwan investment intensive areas.
