Research On The Supply Of Rural Public Goods In China

With the development of economics and society in China, more and more people focus on the three-dimensional rural issues. The three-dimensional rural issues involve large areas, including farmers, agriculture and rural issues, while the development of rural economics is a key to the solution to these issues. Under this condition, rural public goods play very important roles in rural development.This paper sorts the theories of public goods, then describes and analyzes the situation on the supply of rural public goods in China from three dimensions. The three dimensions are the whole supply of public goods in rural areas, differences to the supply of public goods between city and rural areas, differences between the Eastern and others.This paper then analyzes four reasons: the industry strategy and its impacts, the edge situation of rural areas in industrialization process, the analysis of government interests, and characteristics of capital. On this base, we give out several suggestions. Firstly, China's governments give policy advantages to rural areas. Secondly, put the power and affairs in order and balance. Finally, encourage private and the Third Sector to supply the public goods in rural areas.The conclusion is that government should play an important role in supplying of public goods in rural areas, government-lead model is a fundamental one; however, cooperation model other models become more and more important in public goods 'supply in rural areas.
