After 50 years development Chinese automobile industry has achieved great achievement and entered an accelerating development stage. The position in the world auto market greatly goes forward, firstly forming the"3+X"market structure in domestic industry, which is controlled by ten automobile groups. However, compared with the fact that nine automobile corporations control 80 percent of the world automobile industry, our automobile industry has a lower industrial concentration and excessive entrance problem. Under this background, there must be of great importance both in theory and in reality if we seek the fundamental reason that lead to low industrial concentration and analyze the specialty of our automobile industry combining with the developing track of it.This paper introduces the index of industrial concentration ratio in order to calculate the true level of Chinese automobile industry. We also utilize several sorting standards of market structure and compare the concentration ratio with some advanced automobile countries to objectively estimate the true international level of our automobile industrial concentration. Enclosing the leading elements which greatly affect industrial concentration, such as the former industrial concentration, the entry barrier, the minimal economic scale, the market size, the rising quantity of market demand, the product disparity and the net entry ratio of new-comers, positive part of this paper follows the main content of theoretical analysis and deploys detailed analysis from positive and theoretical aspects through establishing a multi-factor linear regressive model. On this base this paper puts forward a target mode aiming at increasing our industrial concentration level. That is composing the high entry- low exit barrier mechanism in order to promote forming the oligopoly structure in Chinese automobile industry. In the end the author puts up some feasible policy suggestion according to this method.
