Analyzation Of The Influence Of International Trade Policy Applied In Chinese Car Industry

It has already been more than 50 years since the development of the car industry of China began in 1953. In the past, under the influence of immature industry protection theory, China's trade policy mainly aimed to restrain foreign competitors' entry into domestic market through high tariff and various non-tariff trade barriers.After joining WTO, facing the challenge of world trade liberalization, China has to allow the car industry to get used to the complete free trade by itself. Therefore, how to choose the trade policy for the car industry in the future has become an important thing that we must deal with seriously.This thesis first briefly reviewed the traditional trade theories and their limitations. After that, it introduced new trade theory and the strategic trade policy. Based on all the analysis, I used some facts to prove that the strategic trade policy can be probably used as the trade policy of the car industry in China.
