Guangzhou Industry Upgrading And Leading Industry Development Strategy Study

As the capital of Guangdong Province, the economic strength of Guangzhou is in the top rank of big cities, now it is in the important period of structure transition, and there is dispute about the development direction. So we choose Guangzhou as our research object, put the study emphasis on the industry-upgrading and the development strategy of leading industry, expecting to offer suggestions for Guangzhou economic development.This article starts with the document survey of industry upgrading and leading industry development theory, points out that the change and development of leading industries are the key point of industry-upgrading, then it recommends the process and means of Japan and Korea S. making use of leading industry development and industrial structure adjustment to realize the economic development. It summarizes the experiential conclusion of the change of leading industries.This article continually analyzes the Indexes, such as GDP per capital, industrial structure, makes contrast with international cities such as London, Singapore and judges that Guangzhou is at industrialized ripe stage, but there are big distances with the developed economy. The analysis of Guangzhou industry inside structure indicates that the second industry is in the process of heavy industrialization; the service industry development relies on the development of living service, the productive service industry development is relatively lagged. Combining the industry stage judgment and the analysis of industry inside structure, this article puts forward the whole notion of Guangzhou industry optimization and analyzes the agriculture and service industry development directions.This article pays more attention on the second industry of Guangzhou which has more disputes. Through the analysis of international industry transition, the domestic and international demand condition, Guangzhou's supply ability and its industrial structure optimization progress, the article considers that it is the industry developing direction of Guangzhou to continue developing the heavy chemical industries in some period of future to meet the demand of the province and the national market demands and at the same time, to bring along the development of modern service industry. Combining the economic conditions, position and resource advantages of Guangzhou into consideration, this article puts forward the choosing principles and chooses the automobile industry, electronic information industry, petrochemical industry as the leading industry in a period of future of Guangzhou.This article analyzes the current development situation and problems of the three chosen leading industries, puts forward some specific policy recommendations and at last summarizes some common guidelines aiming to helpfully develop them.
