A Study On Upgrading Of The Industrial Structure In Hubei Province

Hubei Province is an old industrial base of China. After many years of construction and development, it has formed a relatively complete industrial economy. But with the changes in the domestic and international environments, the industrial structure system, which formed under the planned economic system, now increasingly unable to meet the needs of today's economic development. Under the Chinese strategy of "Rising of Mid-China", adjustment and upgrading of industrial structure in Hubei Province has become the urgent matter. Based on this, this paper based on the theory of industrial structure, analyzes the course of industrial development in Hubei Province, the industrial structure of the status quo and problems, proposes the way of upgrading the industrial structure in Hubei Province——the selection of industry leading industries, and through the result of the selection of the Industry leading industries, provides a number of recommendations for upgrading of the industrial structure in Hubei Province.This thesis is divided into five Chapters. Chapter One introduces the purpose, significance, research methods and writing ideas of this thesis.Chapter Two summarizes current research developments and progress by analyzing domestic and international relevant research, which provides theoretical foundation and support for upgrading of industrial structure in Hubei province.Chapter Three carries on in-depth analysis to the course of development of industries in Hubei Province, the present situation of industrial structure, and summarizes some questions on the basis of analysis which exists in industrial structure in Hubei Province, the international and domestic environment which the upgrading of industrial structure is facing at present.Chapter Four selects 20 industries in Hubei Province, 11 indicators, uses principal component analysis to establish Industry Leading Industries Selection Model. By SPSS's calculation, we can get the optional industries of industry leading industries in Hubei Province, combined with the economic development environment of current stage and future development trends, to determine the ultimate industry leading industries.Based on the result of industry leading industries selection, chapter Five provides the strategic focus and policy recommendations for the upgrading of industrial structure in Hubei Province.
