Since the late 20th century, non-ethics behaviors in the insurance field have became so common. Yet, ethics events in the area are not taken seriously. Worse than that the insurance sector is usually accepted as a field full of selfishness and greed. Howerve, as a result of insurance market performance, the inertial thought without ethics restriction and pursuance of only profit maximization advocated by the mainstream economics for developing economic models, have been faced with great challenges from the real market. It is testified by facts that the insurance market is not a pureland, but a place of the integrity of practitioner to be cultivated and the possible occurrence of immoral risks. The empirical researches and analyses of conflics and contradictions in insurance ethics prove that the existence of insurance ethics is not the point, for it involves not only all participants in insurance markets but also fields of insurance service, insurance management, insurance system, insurance supervision, etc. Therefore, the evaluation of the efficiency of the insurance market includes both assessment of economic performance and that of realization of target ethic value. In other words, the presupposition and foundation of efficient operation of the insurance market request two "invisible hands", i. e. economic criteria and ethical criteria. The insurance market can not cut their own path to efficiency without the support of ethic and integrity. It is infeasible that the economic efficiency be pursued in the insurance market without ethics. Ethics in the insurance field is none of something useless, but a kind of precious social capital, which demands protection and accumulation.
