In recent years, Commercial Economy Hotel—a new-style hotel model, arises in some cities of China. As it provides clear, healthful guest room and tropic, delicate breakfast, so it has normal service, comfortable environment, convenient transportation and chain's management. Such kind of hotel has developed powerfully as a kind of popular accommodation facility. However, necessary preparation of the hotel administer department is absent for this new industry model. Furthermore, the academe's investigation on this field is just also in its initial starting.Because of its backwards of research and absence of industry management, now Commercial Economy Hotel industry presents the confusion on concept and misunderstanding on management. Therefore, combining with its development at home and abroad, this thesis will conclude the characteristics of Commercial Economy Hotel and try to make an initial definition on its concept. Through this strategic development research on Commercial Economy Hotel , current analysis on the domestic travelling environment and even the comparative study on overseas hotel management corporation's advantage and disadvantage, this paper indicates the reason that why Commercial Economy Hotel developed greatly in recent China and the main problem that exits in the development course. Based on this, this paper will point out the future development trend on this industry.Through analysis, it is considered that the development strategy of current Commercial Economy Hotel should be the ones of group and brand. In its development course, not only should the Commercial Economy Hotel learn from the overseas hotel group, but it should create the management style that is fit for Chinese situation and Chinese concept of consumption. While on its development strategy, to be greater and stronger, chain's management is regarded as the optimal style, which can promote the overall hotel service level.During the development course of Commercial Economy Hotel, the hotel management corporation will play an important role. Firstly, it should emphasize how to shape a brand and how to train a person with ability; Secondly, it should breed and set up his own corporation culture that is suitable for its own development; Thirdly, making management standardized must be introduced; and lastly, modern science and technology should be adopted, thus which is helpful to construct hotel's vendition network and internal management system. Some misunderstandings and antinomies that met by Commercial Economy Hotel in its development course, are the unavoidable problems as the market has developed too quickly. These problems will be solved in the corporation's development process. It is hoped that this thesis will provide some train of thoughts to those researchers and managements who work in Commercial Economy Hotel field.
