Strategic sourcing intent to view purchasing at strategic level, take whole enterprise strategy as smart goal, utilize analysis technique to category a certain material, work out sourcing strategic and have it implemented. Diversity of strategy, method, business processes and decision will be adopted by cross—functional team to reduce the total cost of material, commodity and service. At same time, strategic sourcing is to achieve continuous improvement by setting up systematization process.C company—as one of the largest engine and construction machine manufacturer, the utilization of the strategic sourcing is occurred with the global development strategy, under the background of the integration of global economy. The implementation of strategic sourcing is of representative; also it has an abundant strength and deeply basis global purchasing team. Quality, velocity, people and emergency marketing development are brought to enterprise 2020 vision as critical successful factor in 2005. Strategic sourcing as an important enterprise management and strategic activities becomes the critical factor to whether 2020 vision could be achieved successfully or not.First of all, chapter 1 introduced the research background and put foreword the research questions and content framework of the article. Under the target of C Company 2020 vision, strategic sourcing is one of the most important elements of the 2020 vision achieved successfully.Chapter 2 discussed on related theory of strategic sourcing. On the basis of former research about strategic sourcing theory, definition of strategic sourcing delivered from traditional model, strategic sourcing function and strategic implementation, totally 3 aspects. The article emphasis on the importance of strategic sourcing implementation at the stage of company development and also explains on strategic sourcing development road in China.Chapter 3 studied the coherence between the whole company strategy and sourcing strategy at the basis of C Company 2020 vision. And then main questions proposed in exist at strategic sourcing implementation through the actual status of C Company.Chapters 4 put forward six sigma strategic sourcing process use six sigma methodologies and have them applied to the whole supply chain management. At the same time set up evaluation and performance management system. At this basis, analyzed the application of three important principles at the six sigma strategic sourcing process, those are set up strategic relationship together with key supplier, total cost ownership (TCO) emphasized at the basis of supplier quality assurance, and fact-data basis negotiations.At last, Chapter 5 analyzed briefly performance result from both financial and non-financial index.
