The CRO Company W Supplier Selection Base On Strategic Sourcing

With the development of enterprise administration, strategic sourcing and suppliers evaluation become more and more important for both academic research and enterprise practice. We start with the new industry which is focus on outsourcing business of pharmaceutical R&D in this paper, we choose company W as representative to find out how to select proper suppliers base on the strategic sourcing.This paper describes the background and significance of it at first, and then analysis strategic sourcing and supplier selection theory in detail. Then the paper introduces current popular vendor assessment method. We choose FCE finally after the analysis of a variety of evaluation methods. And then the paper analysis current status of the domestic company W’s suppliers management, show the problem during election and management of suppliers process of domestic company W. Describe the difference between traditional procurement and strategic sourcing, clarify steps and principles during evaluation supplier process of company W. In the selection system, the paper bring out eight indicators in the criteria layer, the layer of each criterion includes the specific indicators. We get corresponding proportion through the research of experts, evaluation suppliers with FCE method and then select the best supplier base on company’s strategic procurement Principles. Finally, we use case studies to validate the selection index system are workable. The paper chooses W company as empirical objects, elaborate calculation methods during data analysis process. The paper build framework of suppliers selection based on strategic sourcing. We compare three suppliers to finally make the optimal choice which is the best for W company, and then we give suggestion for company W how to select the proper suppliers. The research result of this paper can be helpful for companies in some special industry to choose better suppliers.
