Research On Methods And Application Of Project Management To The New Vehicle Research & Development Project

Automobile industrial has become national one of most important industry andChinese automobile enterprises have developed enough ability of manufacturingduring the more than 20 years'development. Comparing with abroad automobileenterprises, our national automobile industries have no international competence in theautomobile new product researching and developing (R&D) area. In 2006, Chinesegovernment gave the idea of"created in china"for all of the manufacture enterprisesto strong their competence and from then on has given the manufacture enterprisesmuch support to encourage them to improve their capacity of new product R&D.Under the competition with external and internal automobile enterprises after entry ofWTO, it is an important task to take the new product R&D project to win the futuremarket, construct core competence. Which speed up the new product R&D project.This thesis tries to investigate and practice the application of project managementto the project of automobile new product R&D in Soueast Motor (Fujian) company byusing theories and methods of project management and other related knowledge, suchas united R&D project strategy selection, project planning, project control , projectorganization management and project summarization.By studying and practicing, setting up the project management model ofautomobile new product R&D project in Soueast Motor, some advice about SoueastMotor future automobile new product R&D project management strategy andconstructing core competence are as follows: Firstly, make full advance of the jointventure company and having double brands to enhance itself competition ability byadopting the united R&D model and using project management. Secondly, strengthenthe application of project management to the automobile new product R&D project,effectively combine and optimize the resource of the design and technical supportcompanies', suppliers'and Souest Motor's. Third, in the long run, grow up the projectmanagement as the core management techniques and main methods in the automobilenew product R&D project, basing on its feature, and establish a competitive projectorganization with high lever technology and management system.
