The Study On The Trade Ties Between Vietnam And China In The Context Of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area

The traditional friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and China goes back to ancient times. China and Vietnam established diplomatic relations on January 8, 1950, and the diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam underwent ups and downs during the late seventies of the nineteenth century. In November 1991,the relations between the two countries came to normalization again. With frequently mutual visits between the two countries'high-level, the traditionally friendly, mutually trustful, equal and mutually beneficial relationship between the two countries has developed rapidly in various fields. In addition, both sides continuously strengthen the reform and opening-up and constitute preferential policies for economic development, the trade between the two countries growing continuously. All of these play an important role in the economic development of two countries. Presently, China is Vietnam's largest trading partner. Therefore, the trade with China is one of Vietnam's main points of economic growth and promotes the improvement of Vietnam's economic structure and single market. Meanwhile, through the trade with Vietnam, China enhance the link with the ASEAN, facilitating the development of trade.Since 20th century the 90's, economic globalization and regional economic integration expanded promptly, showing driving momentum. The establishment of China - ASEAN Free Trade Area brought both opportunities and challenges to Vietnam and China, in the context of China - ASEAN Free Trade Area, the establishment of China - ASEAN Free Trade Area is the beginning of the Regional economic integration in East Asia, not only relating to the development of the economic and trade of China and the ASEAN, but also an important part of the Regional economic integration in East Asia, even being of great significance for the economic development of the whole world. As a result, how to take advantage of the benefits brought by the establishment of China - ASEAN Free Trade Area to promote the trade between Vietnam and China is of vital importance.Based on this, the author taking"the study on the trade ties between Vietnam and China in the context of China - ASEAN Free Trade Area"as the title of the thesis has practical meanings. The thesis's first part is exordia, mainly introducing the research status of Chinese and foreign scholars'research on the Vietnam-China trade and China-ASEAN Free Trade Area; the second part is theory summarization, primarily introducing theories related to economic globalization and regional economic integration; in the third part, the ASEAN and China - ASEAN Free Trade Area was simply introduced,. Based on the third part, the forth part comprehensively summarized the trade conditions between Vietnam and China, including the developing history of the trade between Vietnam and China, the two countries'trade in goods, trade in services, investment and so forth; the fifth part analyzed the problems exists in the two countries'trade and the reasons; in the sixth part, the effects brought by China-ASEAN Free Trade Area on the trade between Vietnam and China were intensively analyzed; in the seventh part, the countermeasures and advice were put forward; then the conclusion was made in the eighth part.
