However, Beijing high-technology firms are basically lie on low-edge of the value industry chain, the short average life is a most important reason that the majority of firms failed to break through their initial stage or rapid growth stage. The growth pattern has a vital effect on firm's growth, So, We hope that our research can help the firms to achieve continuing growth by choosing right growth pattern.This article regards the life cycle of high-technology firms as the breakthrough point, and explore the working system between the life cycles and growth patterns. First of all, we analyze the high-technology firms' growth,life cycles and growth patterns. Secondly, we study the elements of community, industry, enterprises' levels that may affect high-technology firms' growth pattern, as well as the growth pattern of high-technology firms can guide the firm to allocate resources and improve competitive competencies. Then, analyze the growth pattern of Beijing high-technology firms, and define their specific growth stage. In the end of the article, we offer our advices on how to choose the suitable growth pattern to solve the possible difficulties in various growth stages.The choice of growth pattern depends on enterprises' characteristics, social situation and industrial situations.
