The location of the port and the facility of the transportation lead to the development of the port-centered industry. Many cities are taking the advantage of the condition to develop kinds of port-centered industry, which attracts lots of enterprises to join the cluster. Some of those enterprises come from the center part of the city, which are intended to remove from the original position to the port area considering the limiting of the city and the advantage of the port-centered area. The result of this choice will directly lead to the changing of the city land utilizing, followed by the traffic demand influence of the city.Principal components and factor analysis is applied to analyze the port-centered cluster degree, through which, the port-centered cluster degree of different industries will be gained.Among the industries, the one which is more likely to be attracted by the advantage of the port is chosen to be analyzed of the behavior of relocation. We develop an industrial location potential model, which considers the location behaviors of the industries in terms of market accessibility, suppliers and resource accessibility, transportation accessibility, government policy. With the model,we simulate the relocation behavior of port-related companies. Then we analyze the change of the land use after the shaping of the port-centered cluster. After that we analyze the change of traffic demand in new land use pattern with four-stage method. Finally, with taking Dalian as an example,we calculate its impacts on urban land use and traffic demand.
