Philosophical View Of Urban Traffic Development

Urban traffic of China has developed for more than 60 years,giving strong support to urban development,and meeting well with demand of urban transport of both travelers and goods.However,the urban development also brings some urban problems such as traffic jam and environment pollution.And the conflict between urban development and urban traffic has increased.In order to solve the problems between urban development and urban traffic,based on the previous study,this thesis discussed the positive and negative externalities of urban traffic,the conflict between urban traffic supply and demand,and the conflict between urban road supply and demand.At the end,this thesis proposed the basic idea and crucial strategies to solve urban traffic problems with the critical view of relationship between supply and demand.Because traffic jam is based on the conflict between urban traffic supply and demand,the reason of environment pollution and traffic accident is presented as the conflict between urban traffic supply and demand to a certain degree.Therefore,it is meaningful to analyze the relationship between urban traffic supply and demand.Firstly,this thesis analyzed the opposition of urban traffic supply and demand,which shows the asymmetry and imbalance of urban traffic characteristic,variety,and structure;secondly,this thesis analyzed the unification of urban traffic supply and demand.Urban traffic supply and demand are unified in urban transport of traveler and goods and urban traffic flow;again analyzed the typical problems between urban traffic supply and demand which are the dangers of urban traffic environment pollution,change trend,economic lost,the root of the problem of urban traffic supply and need,and the solution of solving the problem of urban traffic supply and demand;at last,analyzed how to critically solve the conflict between urban traffic supply and need such as control and guide urban traffic need,moderately increase urban traffic supply and optimize the existed urban traffic system.As the conflict between urban traffic supply and demand contains different aspects,and the conflict between urban traffic supply and need is the main one which directly determines the conflict between urban traffic supply need.Later this thesis analyzed the opposition and unity of urban road supply and demand.This thesis first analyzed the opposition of urban road supply and demand,which is mainly showed in the limitation of urban road supply,the relative infinity of urban road demand and the particularity of urban road supply system;then analyzed the unity of urban traffic supply and demand which means the urban road supply and demand are united in urban traffic capacity and the relative balance between urban traffic supply and demand;again analyzed the typical problem of urban road supply and demand conflict-the problem of urban traffic capacity;at last,this thesis analyzed how to critically solve the conflict between urban traffic supply and demand: controlling and guiding urban road supply,moderately increasing urban traffic supply,and optimizing the existed urban road infrastructure.The conflict between urban road supply and demand contains different aspects while the conflict between urban traffic land-use supply and demand is the main one which directly determines the conflict between urban road supply and demand.Later this thesis analyzed the opposition and unity of urban road land-use supply and demand.This thesis first analyzed the opposition between urban traffic land-use supply and demand which is mainly displayed in the limitation of urban traffic land-use supply,infinity of urban traffic land-use demand and the particularity of urban traffic land-use supply system;later analyzed the unity of urban traffic land-use supply and demand which means the urban traffic land-use supply and demand are united in urban road supply and the intensive use of urban traffic land-use;again analyzed the typical problem of urban traffic land-use supply and demand conflict-the danger of traffic jam,development trend and economic lost;at last analyzed this thesis analyzed how to critically solve the conflict between urban traffic land-use supply and demand: controlling and guiding urban traffic land-use,moderately increasing urban traffic land-use,and optimizing the existed urban traffic land-use structure.With the analysis of the conflict between urban traffic supply and demand,the conflict between urban road supply and demand and the conflict between urban traffic land-use supply and demand,based on the opposition and unity of supply and demand,this thesis analyzed the solution of urban traffic development.This thesis first analyzed the urban traffic development solution from the demand side: maintain the reasonable urban scale,limiting urban traffic demand,limiting private car travel demand;then analyzed the urban traffic development solution from the supply side: obligating future urban traffic development land-use by enhancing urban traffic flexible plan,increasing urban road supply through PPP model;at last analyzed the urban traffic development solution from supply and demand side(the three solutions following could be not be categorized into either supply or demand side,so they are categorized into supply and demand side): providing priority for the development of public transport,vigorously revitalizing the slow traffic and optimizing the existed urban road resource.
